Latte Panda—a powerful computer with a small figure

LattePanda (124-4684) is a single board that integrates a Win10 computer system and an Arduino compatible core, which is slightly larger than the Raspberry Pi. Obviously we cannot ignore the similarities between LattePanda and Raspberry Pi. Indeed, the markets targeted by the two are similar, but the "tastes" are different. Unlike the Raspberry Pi which uses the Linux system, LattePanda uses the Win10 operating system.

This board uses a powerful 1.8GHz Cherry Trail Intel Atom CPU (Z8300) to provide a great Windows desktop experience. Without the Intel Atom processor, the I/O port is controlled by another microprocessor. However, when the requirements of the application are high, this microprocessor can also be reprogrammed to offload the Atmo processor. In terms of performance, the Atom Processor is not like the Atom CPU. It sometimes has a load, and its specifications are more similar to those of modern netbook processors. An advanced operating system like Linux or Windows is based on the timing arrangement. When we want to set the general I/O port to high level, the system will list this task. At this time, Arduino has demonstrated its advantages. Its structure is simpler, and it runs the code in a linear manner. This feature determines that it uses more deterministic operations. In addition, Arduino is equipped with analog inputs and hardware modules (I2C, timers, etc.). An example is that in I2C slave mode, the platform cannot control the timing. So using an I2C hardware device means a more reliable operating system, because the software no longer requires poll input and output, the hardware will complete this part of the content.
