How to classify FPC connectors?

For FPC connectors, you should be familiar with it. It is a kind of flexible circuit board. There are many types. You know how the FPC connector can be classified. FPC connector
In general, the classification of FPC connectors can be distinguished according to the three ways of PCB mating, insertion force, and frame orientation. The details are as follows:
First, according to the way of PCB cooperation
1. SMD-SMT: Use the pad on the board surface, then print the solder paste and temporarily attach the part foot, and then become the solder joint through the reflow furnace (Reflow).
2. Pin-inserted-DIP: Punch the PCB board, pass the connector pins through the holes on the board, and solder them.
Second, according to the insertion force
1.ZIF (zero insertion force), specifically divided into front squat, rear squat, drawer.
2. Non-ZIF (low insertion force).
Third, according to the direction of the frame
1. Horizontal (R/A): The frame is laterally oriented, and the cable is inserted into the connector from the side, and is divided into an upper contact, a first contact, and a double contact.
2. Vertical (V/T): The frame is facing up and the cable is inserted from above the connector.
